Surcharges
Automatically increase your fares during certain time ranges and days of the week: nights, weekends, public holidays.
Updated July 2026
Surcharges let you automatically increase your fares during certain time ranges and days of the week (nights, weekends…), by a fixed amount, by a multiplier, or both. Once they’re set up, they apply on their own when the fare is estimated: there’s nothing to do day to day.
Adding a surcharge
In the Surcharges section, click New surcharge, fill in the fields below, then confirm with Add. The surcharge then appears in your list and applies to the relevant bookings.
A surcharge’s fields
- Name — the label that lets you recognise the surcharge in your list (e.g. “Night fare”, “Weekend”). It’s for internal use.
- Start time and End time — the time range during which the surcharge applies (e.g. from 22:00 to 06:00 for a night fare).
- Increased days — the days of the week concerned (Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, Saturday, Sunday). Select one or more days by clicking on them.
- Increase — a fixed amount added to the fare (in your currency). Leave it at
0if you don’t want a fixed amount. - Multiplier — a coefficient applied to the price. Leave the value at
1if you don’t want the fare to be multiplied; use1.5for +50%,2to double the price, and so on. - Vehicle — the vehicle the surcharge applies to. Choose All vehicles to apply it to your whole fleet, or a specific vehicle to surcharge only that one.
How the surcharge is calculated
When a ride falls within the time range and one of the selected days, the price is recalculated using this formula:
Price with surcharge = (Total cost + Increase) × Multiplier
The total cost is the normal price of the ride (calculated from the vehicle or the package). The increase (fixed amount) is added first, then the whole thing is multiplied by the multiplier.
A few examples, for a ride whose total cost is €40:
- Increase €10, multiplier 1 → (40 + 10) × 1 = €50.
- Increase €0, multiplier 1.5 → (40 + 0) × 1.5 = €60.
- Increase €5, multiplier 2 → (40 + 5) × 2 = €90.
Special cases
- Night fare spanning midnight — for a range that crosses midnight (e.g. from 22:00 to 06:00), simply enter the start time and the end time; the range is taken into account even when it overlaps two days.
- Surcharge on a package — if a package matches the trip and it falls within a surcharged range, the surcharge also applies to the package price.
- Several surcharges — set up as many surcharges as you need (night fare, weekend, specific days…) depending on your plan.
- Surcharge limited to one vehicle — use the Vehicle field to surcharge, for example, only your van and not your sedan.
Enable, edit, delete
Each surcharge can be enabled/disabled, edited or deleted from the list. A disabled surcharge stays saved but no longer applies to bookings.
Free plan
The free plan allows 1 surcharge. To create several surcharges (unlimited) — for example a night fare and a weekend fare — upgrade to a paid plan. See the Pricing page.
